I love making a big deal about Easter. It's a great excuse to dress up! I have had no luck finding an easter bonnet for my little girl. But my daughter was still so adorable in her Easter outfit.
She wore the Marchesa dress from the Target and Nordstrom collaboration. I picked up her headpiece from a woman's clothing store a while back and this was the perfect occasion to wear it! She looked amazing! I will keep on the hunt for a proper Easter bonnet for next year, but her little fascinator this year was perfect for her sofisticated little outfit. So posh!
I'm so over it!! Let me explain...Audrey and I were out one hot day, and I was dying of thirst. I was so desperate, that I opened her sippy to take a drink of her water and it was horrible! It tasted like plastic! Eww! What have I been giving my poor daughter?? No more gross plastic for my baby! So now I'm on the hunt for non-plastic cups and tableware. I've found quite a few stainless sippy cups. So far, I've only tried the Foogo. She now uses this cup everyday, and it is great for when we go out because it is an insulated thermos. I've bought the food jar also. I can't decide what to try next. Any suggestions? Do you have any favorites?
For father's day we spent the day at my dad's house.
Audrey wore the cutest little dress that my dad brought back for her from Hawaii, with her Payless sandals. It was a great day with great weather. Unlike the heatwave that is going on here now. Hope things are cooler for you!
Am I the only person who has never heard of Salt-water Sandals? I have just recently discovered them while reading some of my favorite blogs. Everyone wrote about how they brought back memories from childhood and I am just finding out about them now. Just in case you are as unaware as I was, they are leather sandals that are also waterproof. How nice is that? I think they are the perfect shoe for summer and so far, I am very happy with them. You see, my daughter is one of those kids who can't pass a puddle with out jumping in it. So needless to say, waterproof sandals are very useful to me! They come in two styles for girls. I bought Audrey the style with a buckle around the ankle, as well as the toes, which is great for how fast as her feet grow!! I will be able to widen the toe area so hopefully they will last all summer! They also make them in adult sizes! And you know how much I like to match my little dolly! I'll have to pick up some for myself too! Best of all, they are affordable, and classic. I am officially a fan!
It seems I'm still in love with the Harajuku Mini line at Target. They make the most adorable pieces, and I'm always surprised to have so many people ask me where I bought them. Doesn't everybody go to Target? I guess they don't expect to find such super cute clothes at the same store that they buy their toothpaste. But the clothes are adorable and affordable! I know I've said it before, but I can't help it! I'm thrilled that they have come out with a new spring line! And I hope there are many more!
I've been a bit overwhelmed with getting settled in after the move. But I finally feel like we're getting into a routine. We had a rough start because princess was having a hard time adjusting to her new room. But she's finally feeling more comfortable which means wea are all getting more sleep so mommy is no longer a zombie. I have a lot of catching up to do! But for now I'll just leave you with a couple of pictures of Audrey's Easter outfit...yes, it's been that long!
Audrey is wearing a Pippa & Julie dress, Payless shoes, and a hairbow made by me!
And yes, I know I totally went overboard with the bow.
